Maxibuy Return Policy

This Return Policy stipulates how returns of products purchased by (“Users” “you”) on the www.Maxibuy.co website the “Site” will be managed. This return policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Maxibuy Nigeria Ltd. (“we,” “us” or “our”).

Return Instructions

Only verified purchases made on Maxibuy are eligible for returns. To initiate the return process for an item, ensure all seals, tags and accessories are left intact, and the item is in its original packaging.

Guidelines to initiate a return

STEP 1: Make A Complaint

This can be done through the live chat on the webpage and via any of our customer support channels. Make sure to include pictures of the product that was delivered as a means of evidence.

STEP 2: Wait for Validation

Wait for your claim to be validated. Once the item has been validated as meeting our return policy, prepare the item for return. For return, the item should be packaged as delivered to you, including any accessories, tags, labels or freebies. Remove passwords created on the device you wish to return, otherwise, your return will be invalid.

STEP 3: Return Pickup Schedule

When your claim for return has been validated, a pickup time will be scheduled and communicated to you. The item will be picked up as advised.

STEP 4: Get Resolution

Upon our confirmation of the receipt of the item, Maxibuy will work to resolve your complaints as a matter of obligation.

Items not eligible for returns

  • Products that have been altered from their original state or opened by an authorized personnel without permission.
  • Product with tampered or missing serial Universal Product Code numbers (UPC).
  • Perishable goods cannot be returned except a valid reason is raised at the point of delivery with affirmation from the dispatcher.
  • Products damaged due to misuse.
  • Products in the beauty, health and personal care category.
  • Jewelry, inner wear, underwear, bed sheets, lingerie and socks.
  • Books and CDs
  • Digital products.

No, you will be required to refer the item to the manufacturer service centre.

How do I return an item?

After your claim has been validated as meeting our return policy (after sending a video clip or picture of the item delivered), a return would be authorized for the item.

Once a claim for a return has been validated, what happens next?

Our delivery agent will call you to schedule a pickup. There will be 2 attempts made to pickup the item. If unsuccessful, you will be required to return the item to a designated location at your own cost.

Can my item be returned?

Yes. A return will be provided for complaints of product standard, wrong, damaged and incomplete items of validated purchases.

Can my warranty be voided?

Yes, a warranty is voided once an item within the warranty period is opened or referred to a technician(s) not affiliated to the manufacturer.

I initiated a return but have not gotten a response and it’s over 48 hours, what do I do?

Do I have to return the gift when I return a product?

Yes, any free gift must also be returned.

How do I track my return status?

We will keep you updated by email and SMS about the status of your return. You may also track your return using the return tracking number you may have received when the item was dropped off.

Once the return of my package is done, how long will it take to be refunded?

Depending on the complaint, a refund would be made to you immediately after we confirm the return has been received by us or refund will be made after claim on defect is validated.

Can I return my item after the stated returns timeline?

You will not be able to return after 7 days, but if it is faulty, it may be covered under warranty and a return can be authorized for the item to be referred to our service centre by our after-sales support team.

Why was my item redelivered to me instead of a refund?

Returned items will be redelivered to you if we cannot validate your reason for returning it. For example, a gadget returned for not coming on will be tested extensively and if the claim is not validated, (gadget comes on) the item will be delivered back to you.

How long do I have to request for a return?

You can request a return within 7 days for all eligible items if:

  • You receive a wrong, damaged, defective, below product standard/quality or incomplete item.
